Subject of SB Order 25/2021 : Regarding roll out of RICT CBS Version 1.4.3.0. in RICT CBS Devices from 25.08.2021.

Sir/Madam

New RICT CBS Version 1.4.3.0. for RICT devices have been developed and tested. The competent authority has decided to roll out RICT CBS version 1.4.3.0. The patch deployment in RICT CBS devices will be done from 25.08.2021 to 31.08.2021 (1st Iteration/Deployment), 01.09.2021 to 06.09.2021 (IInd Iteration/Deployment), 07.09.2021 to 13.09.2021 (IIIrd Iteration/Deployment)

2. The following changes have been made in the RICT CBS version 1.4.3.0. : –

  1. Performance improvement:-
    • Changes are done to handle slowness during a transaction.
    • Devices getting unresponsive during config file Updation.
  2. Changes made in the RICT CBS application:-
    • Validation of Minimum, Maximum limits, and multiples for Account opening, Cash Deposit/Cash Withdrawal are made at the device level through a config file. (No action required by BPM – BPM should wait till the config file is loaded and display on the menu screen.
    • Transactions for which response is not received due to network issues will be available under the Transaction Update menu with the status pending. BPM can check & Update the status of pending transactions subsequently i.e. Cash Deposit, Cash Withdrawal, Account Opening, and High Value withdrawal.
    • Transaction status will be available for all transactions in Daily Transaction Report (DTR) and failed transactions are also listed separately.

3. Circle are requested to follow the following instruction for a smooth roll out of RICT CBS Version 1.4.3.0. in RICT CBS Devices.

(a) RSI Team will push the new version to the RICT device as per the schedule shared by RSI.

(b) SOP Document with changes in functionality needs to be communicated to all branch post offices having RICT CBS application roll out.

(c) Necessary instructions to be given to BPMs for keeping the device powered on the planned roll out date.

(d) Post successful deployment/version upgrade, BPM can carry out the regular work.

(e) Transactions carried out in the older version will not reflect in Daily Transaction Report (DTR) after the version upgrade. BPM shall be requested to take DTR if it is required for previous dates before the version upgrade.

4. it is requested to circulate the roll out plan, SOP for RICT CBS version 1.4.3.0 roll out instruction to all CBS Post Offices along with RICT CBS Branch Post Offices for information, Guidance and necessary action

5. Hindi version of this order will be issued in due course.

6. This issues with the approval of the Competent authority.

Subject of SB Order 21/2021 :- Regarding restriction of manual POSB transactions in RICT-CBS enabled GDS branch Post offices (BOs)

Sir/Madam

BO settlement account(SOL ID+0339) was introduced at the time of CBS implementation to facilitate posting of POSB transactions done through manual mode in BOs. RICT-CBS application was rolled out at a later date which allowed BOs to do online POSB transaction.

2. POSB transactions in Branch Post Offices attached with CBS post offices are to be done on RICT-CBS application after introduction of RICT-CBS application for online transactions. Manual transactions are not to be done by RICT-CBS BOs. It is learnt that many BOs having RICT-CBS application available are performing manual transactions, which may lead to misappropriation or duplicacy of work at account office.

3. Keeping in View of duplicacy of work at account office and risk of fraud, competent authority has decided to block BO settlement account (SOL ID-0339) in all CBS Post offices w.e.f. 1st August 2021. BOs attached with CBS post offices shall also do POSB transactions in RICT CBS application only.

4. After blocking of BO settlement account (SOL ID +0339) the competent authority has further decided that account holder(s) of PO Savings account standing in RICT-CBS branch post offices may avail ATM, e-Banking & m-banking facilities from 01.08.2021.

5. To avail ATM Card or e-Banking/m-Banking facility account holder should have PAN Number, e-Mail id and mobile number.

6. The following procedure shall be followed for issuance of ATM Card, enabling e-banking/m-banking, issue of cheque book in branch post offices.

(A) Procedure for issuance of ATM card on PO Savings Account standing at branch post office :-

  • To avail ATM card facility account holder shall fill SB-ATM-1 form(ATM card/Internet/Mobile/SMS banking service request form) duly signed and submit SB-ATM-1 form with passbook at concerned BO.
  • GDS BPM shall examine form and issue SB-28 receipt to the account holder for passbook collected.
  • GDS BPM shall send SB-ATM-1 form with passbook to respective account office duly entered in BO journal/BO Daily Account.
  • After receipt of SB-ATM1 form with passbook at account office, postmaster shall examine the form for eligibility of account holder for ATM card.
  • If eligible, SPM shall issue ATM card in Finacle against customers PO savings account by following the procedure prescribed for issue of ATM cards.
  • After issuance of ATM card, SPM shall keep SB-ATM1 form in Guard file of SB-ATM1 form.
  • On ATM Card issue register, SPM shall write the name of BO and date of dispatch of ATM card to BO and sign.
  • SPM shall put a remark on customer’s PO Savings Account passbook for issuance of ATM card and sign.
  • SPM shall dispatch ATM card and passbook to concerned branch post office duly entered in BO slip.
  • On receipt of ATM card and passbook from account office, GDS BPM shall hand over the ATM card/Passbook to the depositor under receipt on SB-28 after taking back depositor’s copy of SB-28 and past on the office copy.

Note :- PO savings Account holder (s) of BO may also submit ATM request form along with passbook at account office shall process the request as prescribed.

(B) Procedure for enabling e-banking/m-banking on PO Savings Account standing at branch post office :-

  1. To avail e-banking/m-banking facility account holder shall fill SB-ATM-1 form(ATM card/Internet/Mobile/SMS banking service request form) duly signed and submit SB-ATM-1 form with passbook at concerned BO.
  2. GDS BPM shall examine form and issue SB-28 receipt to the account holder for passbook collected.
  3. GDS BPM shall send SB-ATM-1 form with passbook to respective account office duly entered in BO journal/BO Daily Account.
  4. After receipt of SB-ATM1 form with passbook at account office, postmaster shall examine the form for eligibility of account holder for e-banking/m-banking facility.
  5. If eligible, SPM shall enable e-banking/m-banking facility in Finacle against customers PO savings account by following the procedure prescribed for enable e-banking/m-banking facility.
  6. After enable e-banking/m-banking facility, SPM shall keep SB-ATM1 form in Guard file of SB-ATM1 form.
  7. On e-banking/m-banking register, SPM shall write the name of BO and date of dispatch of ATM card to BO and sign.
  8. SPM shall put a remark on customer’s PO Savings Account passbook for enable e-banking/m-banking facility and sign.
  9. SPM shall dispatch passbook to concerned branch post office duly entered in BO slip.
  10. On receipt of SMS by customer for enable e-banking/m-banking facility account holder may proceed new user activation at https://ebanking.indiapost.gov.in/ or IndiaPost mobile banking app.

Note :- PO savings Account holder (s) of BO may also submit e-banking/m-banking facility form along with passbook at account office shall process the request as prescribed.

(C) Procedure for issuance of cheque book on PO Savings Account standing in BO:-

  1. Account Holders of PO Savings Account in branch post offices may avail cheque book facility at the time of account opening or by submitting SB/CQE-4 form (Application for availing cheque facility/issue fresh cheque book) with passbook at concerned BO.
  2. GDS BPM shall examine form and issue SB-28 receipt to the account holder for passbook collected.
  3. The cheque book facility is not available to the illiterate depositor, minor account(self) and for those who do not sign in running hand. GDS BPM before sending the form to account office should check eligibility.
  4. GDS BPM shall send SB/CQE-4 form with passbook to respective account office duly entered in BO journal/BO daily account.
  5. After receipt of SB/CQE-4 form with passbook at account office, account office shall examine the form for eligibility of account holder for availing cheque book.
  6. SPM shall issue cheque book in Finacle against customers PO Savings Account by following the procedure prescribed.
  7. SPM shall put a remark on customer’s PO Savings Account passbook for cheque book issued and sign.
  8. After issuance of cheque book SPM shall keep SB/CQE-4 form in Guard file of SB-CQE-forms.
  9. In Cheque book issue register SPM shall write the name of BO and date of dispatch of cheque book to BO and sign.
  10. SPM shall dispatch cheque book and passbook to concerned branch post office duly entered in BO Slip.
  11. On receipt of cheque book and passbook from account office, GDS branch postmaster shall hand over the cheque book and passbook under receipt to the account holder after taking of the depositor’s copy of SB-28 and paste on the office copy.

Note :- PO Savings Account holder(s) of BO may also submit cheque book request form along with passbook at account office and account office shall issue cheque book following the procedure prescribed.

7. Non RICT CBS branch post offices will continue the follow existing procedure till roll out on RICT-CBS application.

8. It is requested to circulate these amendments to all concerned (including branch post offices) for information, guidance and necessary action.

9. This issues with the approval of competent authority.

RICT Solution for Lid Open Error in the Device

RICT Solution for Lid Open Error in the Device

While taking print in RICT Device, error shown as Lid is open even the printer lid is in closed condition. 

Solution:

This error showing due to software bugs. The printer has automatically been disabled in few cases. It can be fixed by applying the below mentioned steps through MDM portal.

  • Turn on the RICT Device and kept in the good network area with above 50% battery backup.
  • Login into MDM Portal as RICT Admin
  • Device Management >  Create Job
  • Enter Job Name and Select Job Type as Capability Management then click SAVE and CONTINUE
  • Add New Item and Select Peripheral as Printer and Operation as Enable 
  • Assign Single / Multiple Device(s) then Pres continue and Choose Date and time then click Finsh to create JOB
  • Once the Job has been created. Please press pull button.
  • After receiving the notification, wait few seconds for getting the issue resolved

Get Ready For Laptop Based Solution DARPAN (RICT) BOs || There’s Some Condition Read More

Laptop Based Solution DARPAN (RICT)Sir/Madam,

1. This is regarding supply of additional DARPAN devices to the Circles. 

2. Competent Authority has approved purchase of 9000 additional DARPAN devices for the newly created BOs, BOs in LWE areas and for training purposes at PTCs & WTCs. 

3. Since, present BO Devices are having limitation in terms of connectivity (3G only), smaller screen and uneasy keyboard, the DARPAN PIC has decided to go for Laptop based solution at BOs instead of the existing handheld MCD devices for the new procurement. 

4. For now, the Laptop Based solution shall be implemented only in the BOs with the following criteria fulfilled. c 

5. Knowledgeable BPM who knows how to operate Laptop and who takes keen interest in doing more business at his BO 

6. Transaction volume – More than 50 transactions per day

7. Heavy booking of registered /Speed Post / eMO/ Parcels 

8. Broadband /4G availability during the office’s hours Infrastructure – Adequate table space for working with light and fan for comfortable working during summer. Dust free environment should be ensured. 

9. Power – Power supply for charging Laptop and using Printer. Above criteria are only indicative. Circles can add more criteria as per the requirement.

HR – Apply Leave using RICT Device

BPM has the provision to apply leave using RICT Device.Pre-Condition for Leave:

  • Day Begin should have been performed.
  • Printer attached with device is working

Steps to be followed for Leave Request on the device are:

1) Go to LOGIN → Click DEMOBOOKING → Click Leave → Click APPLY LEAVE2) BPM will enter the GDS ID (Mandatory).

3) In case GDS ID is less than 8 digit or does not match with the data present in the system, then, system will prompt an error message on the screen as shown below

Post validation of GDS Employee Id, BPM will select ‘Gender (Mandatory)’ of GDS employee from the dropdown list.

5) On the basis of selected gender, BPM will select ‘Type of Leave (Mandatory)’ from dropdown list.

  • If BPM selects gender type as Male, following type of leaves will be shown:

If BPM selects ‘GDS-Paid Leave’ as type of leave, leave balance for that particular GDS employee will be auto populated on screen.

Post selection of Type of Leave, BPM will enter Reason (Mandatory)’.
8) After entering reason, BPM will select ‘From Date'(Mandatory) and ‘To Date'(Mandatory) from the calendar. He/she can select only current/future date to apply leave.
 In case BPM selects past date as ‘From Date’ or ‘To Date’, system will prompt an error message on the screen as shown below:

9) Total number of days for which the leave is requested will populate on the screen on the basis of ‘From Date’ and
‘To Date’.
10) BPM will enter the following details to proceed further as shown below:
 Employee Address1 (Mandatory)
 Employee Address2 (Mandatory)
 Substitute ID (Aadhar ID) (Mandatory)
 Substitute Name (Mandatory)
 Substitute Address1 (Mandatory)
 Substitute Address2 (Mandatory)

Note:
 Substitute ID (Aadhar ID) should be 12 digits only
Substitute’s Age cannot be less than 18 and cannot be greater than 65.
11) System will validate the mandatory details given by the customer and proceed with the submission of the Leave
Request.
12) On completion of submission process, system will prompt dialog box as shown below:

13) Printing of Leave Request details is optional. After completion of process, a message will appear on screen as shown in the below screen shot.
