What is Post Office Agent Commission?
If a customer can deposit in any of the post office schemes through post office agent then the agent will get a small amount in the form of commission is known as post office agent commission. Percentage rate of commission is given below, which is of invested amount.
Suppose If an Amount of 500,000 invested in TD through Agent, the rate of commission is 0.5% in TD, Hence Agent will get 2500 Commission (including TDS). As per below table you can understand about Post Office Agent Commission.

An SB order no. 12/2018 has been issued by the Postal India Post regarding the transmission of the Scheme wise commission of agents. In this order, rate of commission has been decided by the department. All post office agents will get the commission as per SB order no. 12/2018. These are as under:-

It is surprising that postal agents do not get any commission on SCSS.This means Sr Cit. has to run to Post Office after every 5 yrs depending upon the maturity of SCSS time to time.At least give them .5 % commission
Sir look into thus matter. POST OFFICE AGENTS live there life as a peon they do not get respect sometimes customer do not behave properly with them but agents still work somehow for there family. Government must give them some extra salary wages type so that they feel motivation

I am the franchisee of the Post Office from the Last 13 year till date i am getting my comission on the purchase of postal stamp and booking of article i am getting properly. but From June 2022 i have not got the comission for the both. When i am asking to the post office they says that the funds is not available in the head for payment. so plese cooperate in this matter and do the needful to get us our comission.
All post office Agents should be given appropriate commission as per the trend/situation in all the post office schemes considering their excessive daily movements and time.This will definately enhance post office investments.
Is RD agent eligible for commission in mahila sammaan saving certificate scheme also
From 01-04-2023,SCSS LIMIT has been increased to 30L from 15L.and Most of the investments are made in SCSS where no commission is there.So it will be very helpful if Agents are permitted for commission under SCSS by competent Authority.
