This notice announces the results for candidates who participated in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) held on November 29th, 2020, for promotion to Postal Service Group B positions for the vacancy years 2018, 2019, and 2020. This applies specifically to candidates whose results were kept in sealed cover or deemed sealed cover.

  • This announcement follows a previous order dated June 1st, 2022, which declared the initial LDCE results.
  • A court order from the Hon’ble CAT Patna Bench (Case No. 516/2022) directed a review of sealed cover candidates.
  • Based on the court order, legal advice, and proposal from the Bihar Circle, authorities reviewed the status of 40 candidates who were initially placed in sealed covers.
  • The results for these 40 candidates are now available:
    • Annexure I: Lists 6 candidates selected for promotion for specific vacancy years.
    • Annexure II: Lists 34 candidates categorized as qualified (but not selected) or not qualified.
  • The Personnel Division of the Postal Directorate will determine the placement of selected candidates based on their merit.
  • Due to the Model Code of Conduct for the 2024 General Election, results should be disseminated without undue publicity or political influence.

Revised Syllabus for Departmental Exams in PAOs

The Department of Posts (DoP) has announced a revised syllabus for departmental examinations conducted in Postal Accounts Offices (PAOs). This revised syllabus reflects the latest updates to manuals, rules, and procedures within the department.

Who is Affected?

The revised syllabus applies to the following departmental examinations:

  • Departmental Confirmatory Examination for Direct Recruit Junior Accountants
  • Departmental Examination for Promotion of Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) to Junior Accountants
  • Departmental Examination for Promotion of Sorters and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) to Lower Division Clerks
  • Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for Promotion of MTS (qualified 12th class) to Lower Division Clerks

Key Points:

  • The revised syllabus will be effective for examinations scheduled for the year 2024 onwards.

As per the said calendar of Departmental Examination , PO RMS accountant examination is scheduled to be held on 29.08.2021. Accordingly, The following dates are fixed for processing the examination.

  • The candidate who fulfill the prescribed conditions of eligibility as per Rule 273 (a) (i) and (a) (ii) of P&T Manual , VOL-IV as amended from time to time may submit their applications in the prescribed form (Enclosed) along with two copies of their recent passport size photographs duly attested by the controlling officer to the heads of unit/ Division concerned in time. The Head of the office concerned after obtaining the application from the candidates will scrutinize the same and forward the applications to this office along with his specific recommendation or otherwise.
  • Divisions under RO Berhmpur / Sambalpur may submit their applications through the respective Regional Offices. The information furnished in the prescribed application forms by the candidates should be thoroughly Checked up and verified with reference to their PF/ Service Book pr any other relevant records and then forwarded to Circle office along with prescribed proforma report, The specimen copy of which in annexed to this letter , Besides the above, while forwarding the applications , you are requested to furnish a certificate in the prescribed form as mentioned in the bottom of each application.
  • The Seniority Position of the PA/SA as per up to date Circle/Division gradation list of such officials may be furnished in the proforma report.
  • As per the clarification received from Directorate vide letter no. 8-1/2016-SPB-III dated 19.02.2019, it would not be in fitness of things that LSG officials are allowed to appear in PO RMS Accountant Examination. Therefore, LSG officials are not eligible for appearing PO RMS Accountant Examniation.
  • The contents of this letter along with copy of the application form may be circulated to all concerned. Any Application not submitted in the prescribed from, not properly filled in by the candidate, not properly checked and verified by your office and after all not submitted in due time, is liable be rejected at your risk.
  • The receipt of this letter may kindly be acknowledged.

Inspector Posts Syllabus 2021 – Revision of Pattern and Syllabus

In suppression of existing pattern and syllabus of LDCE for Inspector Posts circulated vide this office letter no. 7-14/2011-SPB-II(I) dated 27.03.2019 and 3rd September 2019 updated pattern and syllabus for LDCE of Inspector Posts is enclosed herewith . This shall come into effect from the date of issue of this letter and will be applicable to all examination to be held after its date of issue.
