Subject: Regarding upgradation of Sambalpur Division to Group ‘A’ Division from  Group ‘B’ Division by simultaneously downgradation of Sundargarh  Division to a Group ‘B’ Division from Group ‘A’ Division.

Please refer to Circle Office letter No. EST/1-161/2020 dated 16.03.2021 on the subject cited above.

2. The proposal for upgradation of Sambalpur Division to Group ‘A’ Division from Group ‘B’ Division by simultaneously downgradation of Sundargarh Division to a Group ‘B’ Division from Group ‘A’ Division has been examined in detail in consultation with Integrated Finance Wing (IFW)of the Directorate. The proposal has been approved by the Competent Authority, subject to the following conditions:-

(a) To ensure that there will be increase in the revenue as projected by the Circle.

(b) No additional expenditure is incurred on account of the upgradation/downgradation.

(c) There will be review of financial performance of Sambalpur Division after completion of one year.

3. In view of above, the Circle is requested to take further necessary action accordingly and furnish an Action Taken Report to this Office. The review after completion of one year is a mandatory condition of IFW, therefore, the same be strictly adhered to. Further, Periodical Reports (half yearly) indicating increase in revenue may also be sent to this office.

4. This issues with the concurrence of Integrated Finance Wing vide their Dy. No. 172/2021&22/ FA-CS(P) dated 15.02.2022.
