Subject: – Regarding clarification on scanning and uploading of signature/photograph for account opened under PM CARES for children scheme-2021.
Sir/Madam,
References are being received from the circles/CPCs seeking clarification on scanning and uploading of signatures/photographs for Basic Savings Account opened under PM CARES for children scheme-2021.
2. The issue has been examined in detail at this end. I am directed to intimate that signature and photograph are to be scanned and uploaded only for the following accounts opened under PM CARES for children scheme-2021: –
(i) Basic Savings Account/PCFTD/PCMIS account opened in the name of beneficiary where beneficiary is 18 years of age.
(ii) Minor Basic Savings Account/PCFTD account when converted into single account in the name of beneficiary after attaining 18 years of age.
3. This is issued with the approval of Competent Authority.
