Subject : Compassionate Engagement to the dependents of deceased GDS — Reg.
The Chief Postmaster General, Jharkhand Circle, Ranchi is pleased to grant engagement to the dependent family member of deceased GDS on compassionate ground. The Committee on Compassionate Engagement met on 01.10.2021 to consider the application of dependent family member of deceased GDS for grant of engagement to GDS on compassionate ground. The list of cases recommended by the CCE and approved for engagement as GDS is enclosed as Annexure-A for information and further necessary action.
2. This may please be brought to the notice of all concerned immediately with suitable instructions to issue necessary orders after observing all eligibility conditions including production of certificate in proof of having basic knowledge of computer which is mandatory requirement for engagement to the post of approved GDS posts vide Directorate, New Delhi letter no. 17-39/6/2012-GDS dated 14.01.2015.
3. The concerned Divisional Heads shall issue engagement orders only after verifying all the eligibility conditions/documents/certificates and subject to availability of vacancies.
4. The approval is subject to the condition that the approved candidate will maintain the dependent family members of the deceased GDS.
5. Necessary proof may be got from the candidates and kept on record, if there is any change in name/initial of the candidates with reference to the name mentioned in the mark sheet/educational qualification, if not obtained earlier.
6. The list of cases not recommended by CCE is also enclosed as Annexure-B for information.
7. A consolidated compliance report with date of joining of each candidate in the enclosed proforma may be sent to this office within a week positively for submitting information to the Postal Directorate.
8. Speaking orders of not recommended case mentioned in Annexure-B are enclosed for arranging delivery of the same under proper acquaintance and copy of the acquaintance may be sent to Circle Office for record. Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this letter by return post.
