Supplementary result – II of Posman/mailguard cadre from eligible GDS of parent recruiting division examination held on 10.01.2021 and DEST held on 18.06.2021 for the vacancy year 2020.
This is in continuation to this office memo no. rectt./12-02/40/2020/con. dated 23.06.2021 and 15.07.2021, vide which, result of PM/MG examination held on 10.01.2021 and DEST held on 18.01.2021 for the vacancy year 2020 was declared.
The following vacancy of PM/MG cadre for the year 2020 is remaining unfilled due to declination of promotion by selected GDS Candidates. The category -wise details as under-
Now the Competent authority has pleased to fill up aforesaid unfilled vacancy of PM/MG cadre from available qualified GDS candidates of parent / recruiting division in accordance with the instruction contained in Directorate letter no. 17-08/2018-SPB-I dated 20.06.2019. The result has been compiled taking the scores of Paper I as merit and paper II and Paper II (DEST) as qualifying for the purpose of selection.

Note :
In case, it is subsequently found that any of the selected candidate (s) was not eligible to take the examination under the extant rules or instructions on the subject or for any other reason or in case any mistake is found with regard to announcement of result of any candidate for any reason whatsoever, his/her name will be deleted from the list of successful candidates , as the case may be. This should be incorporated in the promotion /appointment letters issued.
The selection of candidate shown in Annexure I is subject to fulfillment of all conditions of relevant recruitment rules for recruitment to the cadre of Postman / Mailguard.
The Concerned Divisional Head must declare the formal result immediately and appointment order to the candidates must be issued within a week. And, before giving appointment to the selected candidates will see that, the newly recruited candidates fulfill all required conditions of relevant recruitment rule. Also, the divisional/unit heads are advised to re-check the pre-requisite conditions prescribed for candidates, with reference to their recommendations made while forwarding the applications forms.
- Before , appointment, it should be ensured that, no disciplinary /vigilance case is pending or contemplated or punishment is current against the selected candidates.
- In case, at any time, it is detected that the candidates so selected had applied and appeared the examination with false declaration or data,his/her selection will be cancelled without notice.
- The surplus qualified candidates, allotted against unfilled vacancies of other divisions should be informed that, they are not eligible for repatriation to their parent divisions before completion of probation period as laid down for transfer under Rule 38 of Postal Manual IV.
- The names of candidates and their Roll numbers have been shown on the basis of information furnished by the concerned division/unit. In case any mistake in the names of the candidates is noticed later on, the same may please be corrected and the corrections may be intimated to this office also.It is later on found that any of the selected candidate was not eligible to take the examination under the existing rules or instructions on the subject for any other reasons or in case any mistake is later on found with regard to announcement of the result of any candidate for any reason whatsoever, his/her name will be deleted from the list of successful candidates list of candidates having been allowed concession under the existing rules, as the case may be. This result is also subject to any change in the merit list of selected candidates due to future re-totaling and verification of answer books in accordance with the existing rules and instructions.
