Subject:- Supply of Mobile Devices for deployment of Postman Mobile App-reg.
This is in continuation of D.O. letter 20-1/2017-D (pt.) dated 02.06.2021 vide which it was intimated that mobile devices are being supplied to Circles for delivery of accountable articles through Postman Mobile App(PMA0
2. All the mobile devices supplied to the circles are already equipped with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution by the company named ‘Scalefusion’. There is no need to install PMA manually as it has already been pushed into all the devices centrally. it will be downloaded automatically once the device is connected to internet through Wi-Fi or Mobile network. Functionality of taking signatures during delivery through PMA is currently disabled and shall be made available in upcoming version of PMA.
3. Circles may purchase SIM cards for the Mobile Handsets with good data/Voice plans depending upon the usage. Circles may ensure that telecom operators chosen for purchase of SIM cards should have good mobile data connectivity for the locations where the mobile handsets are to be used.
4. Circles may make sure that all the devices are distributed to the concerned post offices and put to use for delivery through PMA without any delay.
