DOP Letter – Regarding cases related to waiver of FIR

In case of loss and fraud cases , FIR is required to be lodged, if amount involved is above Rs. 50000 and this can be waived by Additional PMG (Now PMG), inappropriate cases, in accordance with instructions, dated 27.01.1988.

However, in respect of the criminal offences other than the loss a nd frauds , including offences under IPO act can be waived off by the HOC only.
