Opening Pension and SB Basic Savings Accounts as per Latest GSPR Scheme rules
I am directed to convey the following
This is regarding error thrown in finacle while opening Pension and SB Basic Savings Accounts. As per Latest GSPR scheme rules and its related SB Orders there will be only one category of SB account.
The following scheme codes have been closed in Finacle from 01/04/2020.
SBPEN – Pension with Cheque book
SBPWC- Pension without cheque book
SBBAS – SB Basic Savings Account
Post Offices will not be able to OPEN NEW ACCOUNTS under the above scheme codes. Post offices may be instructed to open SBGEN /SBCHQ scheme code accounts only. Existing SBPEN/SBPWC/SBBAS scheme code accounts will be operational and transactions will be allowed in these accounts.
CPCs are requested to kindly forward these instructions to POs immediately to avoid raising of tickets on the above subject.
